Cold weather stories...

Good morning everyone,

Well, it's yet another cold day here in Liverpool.  The temperature just keeps dropping day by day and I won't be at all surprised if snow is upon us soon.  On this theme, do any of you have stories to tell about Liverpool in the snow?  Perhaps some pictures that you would like to share?  If so then feel free to post them on the 'People's Stories: Liverpool Lives' website.  We are always looking for your memories of Liverpool throughout the years, whatever the theme.

We are still searching for Beatles fans that saw the Fab Four in their early Cavern days too.  If you were lucky enough to see the Beatles during their Cavern-going period then please get in touch with us.  Or if you were one of the people cheering them on as they made their journey from Speke Airport then we would also love to hear from you.

Well, I had best be off now.  I hope you are all having a good week and are staying wrapped up whilst out in that freezing weather, wherever you are.

Progress thus far and some newspaper love....

Hello everyone,

Well, it has been a while since I posted on here, or since anyone did for that matter.  Things here at Hurricane Films are going along nicely.  The launch event for 'People's Stories: Liverpool Lives' was a huge success.  Thanks to all of the people that came along and we hope that you all had a great evening.

Since the launch took place we have been hard at work ensuring that the site is updated and continuing to track down further contributors.  Don't forget to spread the word to friends and family.  We welcome contributions from people of all ages on the website.  If they have a story to tell about years gone by in Liverpool, then we want to hear it.  Sign up and share your thoughts.

Let's get to the Press portion of proceedings now.  The Press have been showing a lot of interest in 'People's Stories: Liverpool Lives' and we have appeared in a few articles already.  Some of these articles can be found in the following places: Liverpool Confidential, Liverpool Daily Post, and on the Seven Streets website (click on the links to get to the articles).

Just this morning a slideshow for 'People's Stories: Liverpool Lives' has gone live on the BBC website.  You can see some of the fantastic pictures that we have managed to gather thus far, along with enjoying some good music.

Well, we hope you are all enjoying the memories of Liverpool that have been gathered thus far.  Don't forget that it is easy to sign up to the 'People's Stories: Liverpool Lives' website.  You can contribute your own memories or comment on those of others.  Feel free to get involved.

I hope you are all having a great week and we look forward to seeing you all over on the website.
